About Course

✨ Inferences

Welcome to Inferences – fun and interactive pre-recorded classes designed to help students improve their reading comprehension, think more deeply, and become better communicators.

In each video lesson, your child will be guided by Ms. Allison, a speech therapist, who will guide your child through our activities and writing processes—no live sessions required!

📚 Class Experience

In this interactive and engaging class, students will learn how to “read between the lines” by analyzing pictures and using clues to figure out what’s happening.

🧠 What to Expect

  • Students will begin by learning what inferences are and why they’re important.

  • With Ms. Allison they’ll practice using picture clues and context to make inferences.

  • Students will create their own paragraph explaining what they think is happening in a picture—and why.

  • At the end of the lesson, students will draw their own picture and challenge the teacher to make an inference based on their drawing!

📝 Optional Materials

Students will be provided printable worksheets that are optional to follow along with during the lesson. If you choose to use the worksheets, please have a writing utensil ready! Worksheets can also be used as extra practice after the lesson for students to create unlimited inferences and stories at their own pace!

▶️ How to Begin

To start your lesson, enroll in the course and select which lesson you would like to start with by pressing play and follow along with Ms. Allison! Be sure your child has their paper and a writing utensil ready to go. Pause the video anytime for extra practice or discussion.

We are so happy to have your child join us!

*These lessons are not previously recorded, as students are expected to use the prompts to tell the stories on their own.
